昨年2月以来、コロナ騒ぎで1年間何もすることが出来なかった。本来ならば昨年は
東京オリンピックが開催され、日本中が沸き立っていた筈だが、全くの様変わりで何
が起きるか分からない。世界的に経済は落ち込み、感染者は世界で1.3億人、死者
は310万人を越えた（日本では夫々57万人、1万人超）。これは日本国民全員が感染
したことになる。最近は変異株が暴れ出し、感染が止まらない。我が国でもようやく
ワクチン接種が始まったが、現段階では接種状況は微々たるものである。コロナに
打ち勝つ為にも、接種の早期推進をお願いしたい。
"Early promotion for the vaccination "(May 4, 2021)
I couldn't do anything freely for one year since the last February due to the 
corona turmoil. Originally the whole of Japan should have been boiled with Tokyo 
Olympics in the last year. However I don't know what will be happen in a 
completely different way. Economy got depressed worldwide, and the infected 
persons in the world were 130 million which was equivalent to Japanese 
population, and the dead exceeded 3.1 million (570,000 people and each 10,000 
people or more in Japan). The variant strain is begining to rage recently, and 
infection still doesn't stop. The vaccination has finally begun in Japan but situation 
is insignificant at present. I strongly request for the early promotion of vactination 
to overcome the corona. 

いよいよあと3日経つと天皇が退位し、元号も平成から令和に変わる。従来の慣習
を破って、天皇の生前譲位が閣議で決まり、5月1日に令和が始まると共に新天皇
が即位される。過去では天皇が崩御されると同時に新元号が発表されたが、悲しみ
の中での改元であり、慌ただしいものであった。今回のように譲位の日を予め決
め、新元号もその1ヶ月前に発表すると言うやり方は、天皇の意を汲んだだけでな
く、新しい時代を迎えるという心構えもでき、皆が納得できる賢いやり方だと思う。”
Beginning for the new imperial era "Reiwa" ”
The emperor will abdicate the throne in three days and the name of a imperial 
era will also be changed from Heisei to Reiwa.This is due to the decision of the 
government and the crown prince will succeed to the new emperor, at the same 
time Reiwa era will start as of the 1st of May. In past the name of the new 
imperial era was announced in sadness and in a busy time when the emperor 
passed away. I think such system as the abdication date and the name of the new 
imprerial era are announced in advance is better than the old system. Because 
we can have enough time to celebrate the new era. 

1月20日に共和党のトランプ氏が第45代米大統領就任にした。民主党のクリントン
女史との選挙戦を制しての就任である。選挙中から過激な発言でハラハラさせてい
たが、就任演説も主張は同じものであった。「アメリカ第一主義」を打ち出し、自国の
利益を優先させると言うものだ。民主主義の本家本元がどうしたことだ。地球全体
の平和を願うあの崇高なアメリカはどこへ行ったのだろうか。世界の経済と政治は
予測不可能な時代に入ったのだろうか？"Mr.J.Trump, the Republican Party took 
office for the 45th U.S. President on 20th January"This was made by his power 
to win election to Ms.Clinton, candidate of the Democratic Party. His speech in an 
election campaign had seemed to be afraid of us. As we expected, he conveyed 
the same speech in his inaugration address. He insisted "America first" and to set 
the top priority on benefit for America. What's matter with America, most 
democratic country in the world? Where America hoping peace and safe to every 
countries will go? I am afraid that economy and politics in the world will enter an 
unpredictable age.

北朝鮮が初めて水爆実験に成功したと1月6日発表した。今回が4回目だそうだが、
予告無しで行ったとのことである。専門家によれば、水素爆弾は原子爆弾の数千倍
の力を持つそうで、今回の地震波は過去のものとほぼ同じだったので、実際は水素
爆弾ではないのでは、と言っているが、いずれにせよ物騒な話である。今後国際的
にも北朝鮮に対し、圧力が掛かるであろうが、中国・韓国の動向と我が国の制裁強
化に注目したい。北朝鮮にはもう騙されてはならない。
"Announcement for hydrogen bomb test by North Korea"
It was announced that North Korea succeeded in hydrogen bomb test for the 
first time which was the fourth times and executed without previous notice on 
January 6th. According to specialists, a hydrogen bomb seems to have the power 
several thousand times more than an atomic bomb but the test this time was not 
experimented for the hydrogen bomb because the wave caused by earthquake 
was almost the same as the past one in its magnitude and shape. Anyway this is 
the terrible, dangerous and impermissible behavior. I want to pay attention to 
China, Korea and our country increasing to take sanctions in near future. Do not 
be cheated any longer by North Korea. 

連日報道を賑わしている本人質事件は、未だに解決の糸口が見えない。日本人一
人（湯川さん）は既に殺害されたとみられ、残る一人（後藤さん）の救出に日本政府
は全力を傾けているところである。ISILの要求も日本への莫大な金額の要求から、
ヨルダンに拘束されている死刑囚（リシャウイ）との交換が条件と変わり、ボールはヨ
ルダン側に投げられた。しかし、ヨルダンのパイロットが既にISIL側に拘束されてお
り、後藤さんよりパイロットの救出の方が優先とヨルダン政府は発表し、死刑囚を釈
放するにしても、パイロットが生存しているという証拠がないので動けないと主張、
ISILが指定した期限はとっくに過ぎたが、現在事態は硬直状態になっている。今後も
油断を許さない状況で目が離せないが、一刻も早く解決されることを只祈るばかりで
ある。
 "Incident of hostage by Islam country (ISIL)"
 The news titled above have been reporting every day, but seemingly there is no 
way to make solution yet. Reportedly one Japanese (Mr.Yukawa) had already 
been killed, and the Japanese government is devoting itself to rescue Mr.Gotoh, 
remainder. Firstly the ISIL demanded Japan for an enormous amount of money, 
next they threw a ball to Jordan by changing their mind to exchange him for the 
condemned woman (Rishaui) restrained by Jordan. However, the Jordan 
goverment announced that the Jordanian pilot restrained by the ISIL should be 
released prior to Mr.Gotoh and we couldn't agree to release her without evidence 
for the life of the pilot. The time limit specified by ISIL had already passed but the 
situation is stiffening and critical now. I hope to finalize this cruel incident as soon 
as possible. 

理研の小保方晴子氏が今年１月に、万能細胞を作製したとの発表は、全世界を驚
かせた。しかし、その後誰一人としてその論文通りに、作製に成功した者はいないと
言う。そして、論文の内容や作製の方法などにも疑惑が持ち上がってきた。他の論
文の盗用や写真等の改竄など、数々が指摘されている。理研側の記者会見や小保
方氏自身の記者会見を見ていると、どうも彼女は科学者としての基礎的倫理観や、
資質に欠けているように見える。科学者らしく数々のデータを検証し、STAP細胞の
存在をもう一度明らかにすべきである。
"Trouble for STAP cell announcement"
 The announcement that Dr.Haruko Obokata in Riken laboratory had made STAP 
cell in January this year surprised all parts of the world. However, nobody 
succeeded in making the STAP cell even if trying the same procedure conducted 
by her. In this situation, a lot of suspicion was appeared in her thesis including the 
method of making the cell. They were embezzlement from other thesis or 
modification of photograph etc. at her own will. From seeing the press conference 
by Riken laboratory or Dr. Obokata's own press conference on TV, I felt that she 
seemed to lack basic ethics and the nature as a scientist. She should verify a lot 
of data and clarify the existence of the STAP cell again. 

死者15,881人を出したあの恐ろしい大震災から早2年が過ぎた。未だに行方不明者
が2,668人いると聞いてビックリした。瓦礫の処理も3県で半分も進んでいないと言う
ことである。復興予算も使いたいが使えない状態であるとのこと。これは一体どうし
たことであろうか？人手不足とか建設資材の高騰などが障害になっているらしい
が、政府には一刻も早く、被災者が安心できるよう復興を進めていただきたい。
"2 years after East Japan great earthquake"
 Two years have already passed from the frightening great earthquake killed 15,
881 people. I am surprised to hear that 2,668 persons are still missing as of 
yesterday. It is said that the treatment of debris was processed only below half of 
the total amount in three prefectures. Moreover the revival budget can't be used 
now. What's matter with this? This might be due to manpower shortage or 
construction material rise, however I strongly request the government to advance 
the revival schedule as soon as possible so that the victim can be relieved. 

東北大震災が起きてから早２ヶ月になろうとしている。被災地での復旧活動は進ん
でいるようであるが、未だに原発事故は収束されていない。現地は今、原子炉の冷
却と汚染水の処理、放射能の拡散など多くの問題に日夜懸命に戦っている。この状
況下にあって、与党である民主党内部で首相である菅氏降ろしの風が吹いていると
言う。初期対応が甘かったとか、リーダーシップに欠けるとか、色々言われている様
であるが、今はその時期ではない。国難とも言えるこの未曾有の大事故に、党内は
もとより野党も協力して、一丸となってオールジャパンで取り組むのが筋ではない
か。こんな大事な時に、一国の首相がコロコロ代わっては、日本は世界の笑いもの
になる。
"Not the time in domestic trouble" 
Two months will have passed since the Tohoku earthquake disaster. The nuclear 
accident has not been settled yet though the restoration activity in the stricken 
area is being advanced. The people at the site are fighting hard day and night 
against such problems as diffusion of radioactivity, cooling the nuclear reactor 
and managing the pollution water. Under this situation, prime minister Kan is 
being criticized because of his bad first action to the disaster or his poor 
leadership etc. and is about to be pulled down by his party and other parties as 
well. I think it is not the time to make domestic trouble each other but Japanese 
should stand against the great disaster called as national crisis in corporation with 
each other and in one united body. Frequent change of Japanese prime minister 
under this critical situation will be laughted by the people in the world.   

今紙上を賑わしているのが、例の沖縄の米軍基地の移転問題である。既に自民党
政権時代に日米で移転先も決まり、海兵隊員２千人がグアムに移動することが合意
されていた。アメリカは総合軍事計画の中で、極東における政策を見直し、その結
果前述の移転案が合意されていた。日本は悲しいかな軍事力を持たないので、米
の傘の下に入らざるを得ない。北朝鮮が目の前に控えているのに、赤子のような日
本はどうしたら良いというのだ。政権が代わっても外交の基本は、簡単に変えて貰っ
ては困るというものである。移転問題の早期決着を望む。
"Transfer problem of Okinawa U.S bases"
The transfer problem of Hutenma U.S bases in Okinawa is being enlivened 
currently on newspapers. It had already been agreed between Japan and U.S that 
Hutenma U.S base would be transfered to Henoko and 2,000 marines moved to 
Guamn in the political power age ruled by Liberal-Democratic Party . The United 
States reviewed the military affairs plans for the Far East, and as a result the 
above-mentioned movement idea had been agreed. Unfortunately we have no 
military power, so we cannot help borrowing U.S military power, so to speak under 
the umbrella of America. What shall we do against the menace in the presence of 
North Korea? Even if the political power takes the place, the diplomatic basis 
must not be changed. I storongly desire to conclude the problem as soon as 
possible. 

近くの中学校から招待を受けたので、自分達の時代との違いを知るために出席し
た。自分が卒業した昭和28年頃と比べるのもどうかと思うが、敢えて感想を述べて
みよう。まず生徒の体格が一様に大きくなり、身なりもきれいに整っており、高校生
のような印象をうけた。生徒数も１クラス38人位で少人数になっており、昔と格段の
相違である。また、卒業生と在校生の合唱による交歓場面は中々の演出であった。
教育環境がアップした分、子供達への教育レベルも上がり、素晴らしい人材が育つ
のが本当であるが・・・。
"Impression to graduation ceremony of secondary school"
I was invited to attend the graduation cermony of secondary school near my 
house. So I was present at the ceremony to know the differences betweeen my 
old days and now. I would like to comment as follows. Pupils are built normally 
biggar than the pupils in the year of Showa 28th when I was graduated from 
secondary school and moreover they look neat and clean in a uniform like high 
school students. 38 pupils for one class are fewer than my old age. Educational 
environment is particularly better than the old days therefore I hope more 
excellent people will be brought up in the future. 

北朝鮮との六カ国協議がようやく再開され、今回は３日間協議の末に共同声明が発
表された。先の核実験以来北朝鮮は核保有国として内外に認知させ、交渉を有利
に進めたいとテーブルに着いた。米は今まで『後戻りできない検証可能な完全廃棄』
を求め、日本政府も拉致問題をからめこれを支持していたが、今回の協議では米
の政策転換に戸惑っている。とりあえず北朝鮮は、寧辺にある核施設を期限付きで
封鎖し順次廃棄して行くと言うが、その代わり重油５万ｔの供給や制裁の一部解除な
どが約束させられた。北朝鮮への制裁はそれなりに効果があった訳であるが、核保
有国となったとたんに他の５カ国が弱腰になった感は否めない。北朝鮮のしたたか
な外交には舌を巻いてしまう。北朝鮮が独裁体制を維持している限りは、拉致や核
の問題など根本的な解決は難しいのではないかと思うのは、私一人ではないであろ
う。
"First step to abandon Nuclear production facilities?"
Due to resumption of 6 party's discussion, joint communique have been 
announced after 3 days strict discussion in Peking of China. North Korea 
attended the meeting so as to take advantage in negotiation by making other 
countries admit as a nuclear holding country after nuclear experiment. So far 
America had been asking North Korea for irreversible, verifiable and complete 
nuclear abandonment thus Japan also supported America including criminal 
abduction however according to the communique America and other 4 countries 
were promised by North Korea to supply fifty thousand ton heavy oil and to 
loosen sanction instead that North Korea would block the nuclear production 
facilities in Yonbyon first then abandon other facilities step by step. I think this 
seems to be agaist American previous opinion and not clear irreversable, 
verifiable and complete abandonment. The moment North Korea got nuclear 
weapon, other countries seemed to be timid. We are surprised at North Korean 
tough diplomacy also in this time. I doubt fundamental resolution for abduction 
and nuclear so long as North Korea will maintain present dictatorship.   

北朝鮮がミサイル７発を訓練と称して、７月５日に日本海に向けて発射した。幸いに
も大陸沿岸に着弾したが、何とも物騒な話である。日本を始めアメリカとの取り決め
を無視してのこの暴挙である。日本は、国連を通じて北朝鮮への制裁措置の採択を
働きかけているが、ロシアと中国が難色を示していると言う。庶民の生活を犠牲にし
て核兵器開発を続け、ミサイルの射程距離をのばすことにより軍事力を誇示し、国
際社会に生きのびてゆくと言う戦略は、もはや時代遅れで、誤った独裁者の偏見的
な考えに過ぎないと思う。
"North Korea fired 7 missiles"
Reportedly North korea shot 7 missiles in the Japan Sea on 5th of July. 
Fortunately the missiles dropped in the sea near China. What a fearful act of 
violence this is! North Korea used violence ignoring the agreement between 
America or Japan. In this connection Japan asked each country to agree taking 
sanctions against North korea through the United Nations. However Russia and 
China showed disapproval. North Korea have showed military power by developing 
nuclear weapons and extending a shooting range at the cost of people's life and 
thus North Korea survives in the world. I think that North Korea's policy is behind 
the times and only the prejudiced idea by an incorrect dictator.

今年から始まった世界１６か国による野球の世界選手権大会に日本が優勝した。
二次リーグでは韓国に敗れ、一時は絶望的だった準決勝進出もアメリカがメキシコ
に敗れたため、失点率の少ない日本に準決勝進出のチャンスが転がり込んで来
た。対韓国戦の準決勝では、もう韓国には負けられないと選手が一丸となって戦
い、６対０と快勝し今までのうっ憤を晴らした。キューバとの決勝戦では６対１とリード
していたが、８回には４点許してしまい１点差まで詰め寄られた。しかし、９回にはイ
チロー・福留らの活躍により４点を奪還し、最後は大塚が締めて１０対５で勝利し、
初代チャンピオンの座に輝いた。この日は日本中が大いにわいた。心からおめでと
うと言いたい。ここで学ぶべき事がある。それは何事も最後まで諦めてはならない
し、夢に向かって強い意志を持ち続けることであろう。
゛Congratulation on winning WBC championship!"
Japan has won a victory at WBC championship which was established newly this 
year and 16 countries took part in this game. When Japan was desperately 
defeated by Korea in the second league, everybody may have thought that Japan 
had no more chance to semi-final game. However fortunately the chance was 
brought to Japan because America was unexpectedly defeated by Mexco and 
Japan resulted in the least lost score ratio. Japan defeated Korea overwhelmingly 
by a score of 6 to 0 in semi-final game. In final game Japan led Cuba by 5 points 
by the 7th innings but lost 4 points at the second half of the 8th innings. However 
Japan recaptured 4 points at the final innings and finally defeated Cuba by a 
score of 10 to 5. I would like to say sincerely ゛Congratulation !" This victory 
taught me that never giving up and keeping on pursueing a dream with strong 
mind is important. 

イタリア・トリノオリンピックが閉幕した。イタリアがみせた開会式と閉会式の素晴らし
い演出振りには感心したが、日本勢の腑がいなさには落胆させられた。マスコミは
金メダル5個以上と予想していたが、結果はフィギュアースケートで荒川静香選手が
取った金メダル１個に終わった。１１２名もの多くの選手団を送っていながらこの結
果では誠にさびしい。これはメダル獲得率で言うと0.9%に当たり、メダルを獲得した２
６か国の中では最も比率が低いそうだ。と言うことは効率が悪かったという事にな
る。韓国はたった４０人の選手で１１個、獲得率27.5%と最高率となっている。選手の
育成や派遣等については予算面で色々と苦労しているようであるが、ただ人数だけ
多くするのではなく、もう少し効率的な対応が必要ではないだろうか。
゛Efficient measures should be taken to Japan Olympic Team"
Winter Olympic Game in Torino, Italy has closed lately. I was impressed in both 
opening and closing ceremony elaborately produced by Italy. However the game 
resulted by Japanese team was contrary to my expectation. Regardless of over 5 
gold medals acquisition forecasted by news paper, only one gold medal was 
acquired as a result by Mis.Arakawa, figure skate player. In spite of no less than 
112 players delegated to the game, the gold medal acquisition ratio resulted in 0.
9% that was the worst among the countries acquired 26 medals whereas Korea 
obtained 11 medals by 40 players with the acquisition ratio 27.5%. This result 
seems to mean our country has not budgeted efficiently so far. I think Japan will 
have to change its policy to the Olympic game and efficient measures should be 
taken in future.

昨年暮れの２７日に起きた震度９という今だかってない大地震による災害状況は、
日を追うごとに明らかになり、被災者の数も増してきている。震源地に面する沿岸諸
国では、津波による被害は想像を絶する程甚大となり、その被災国は早期救援を
各国に呼びかけている。日本もいち早く緊急援助を打ち出し、５億ドルの資金援助と
自衛隊の派遣を決定、その実施を進めているが、ここで変な問題が起きてきたのに
は唖然とする。肝心のアチェ州が援助に待ったをかけてきたとの事である。地元で
の内紛が問題らしいが、これから疫病も流行るかも知れないという大事な時期に、
これはどうしたものかと疑問に思う。早期復旧は、一地域の問題ではなく全世界に
関係する問題であるからだ。
゛Ache state's attidude to relief activity for earthquake disaster"
Disaster details for the earthquake with M9 happened in Indonesia on 27th, last 
month have been being cleared and the number of victims increased day by day. 
The coutries suffered from Tsunami disaster have asked prompt aid to the United 
Nations. In this situation Japan has responded quickly and decided to offer 5 
hundred millions monetary aid and dispatched Self-Defense Force to the stricken 
dstricts. However recently Ache state in Indonesia has decided to restrict to the 
relief activities by foreign countries due to their domestic discords. I think this is 
the big problem because epidemics may prevail in near future. Emergency 
restoration is the problem for not only one country but also whole countries in 
the world.

戦時下のイラクで３人の日本人人質が解放され、帰国してから早２週間経ったが、
ようやくその内の２人が記者会見に応じ、事件の真相を語った。それにつけても分
からないのは、これだけ世間を騒がせておきながら又イラクに行きたいと言っている
事である。逆に危険であるから行きたいとも言っているようである。本人達がケロッ
としているのにはビックリした。パスポートに書いてあるように、日本政府は海外に於
ける邦人の生命を守ることは確かであるが、だからと言って何をやってもいいとは限
らない。再三の勧告を無視して危険な所に出かけていった訳であるから、自己責任
を問われるのは当然である。家族が政府に人質の命を懇願したあの悲痛な叫びを
忘れてはならない。その時の状況を回りの人は、人質になった人達によく説明すべ
きである。人質個人の問題が、一国の政府を揺るがせかねない状況に発展する危
険性もあるからだ。
゛Impressions for interview to the kidnapped two men in Iraq "
It is two weeks since three Japanese persons were released by kidnapper and 
came back to Japan. In response to foreign journalist interview today they 
explained the whole situation in hostage and said that they didn't regret to go to 
Iraq. I was surprised to hear their interview because they didn't reflect on their 
guilt and responsibility in spite of troubling many people in the world. First of all 
they had to apologize their fault and to give their thanks to the Japanese 
government. Of course Japanese being in danger overseas can be protected their 
life and property by our goverment however be sure to have always self -
responsibility.  

イラク復興人道支援ということで政府は自衛隊の現地派遣を決定、これを受けて１
月には先遣隊を派遣し現地での活動を開始した。野党はこれに反対し国会が紛糾
したのはついこの間のことであるが、自衛隊派遣はやむを得ない事ではなかったか
と思う。イラクでは戦争は終結したとは言え、未だテロが発生しており危険な状態に
ある。昨年日本の外交官が２名テロの標的になり、運転手共々命を落としたという
ニュースはまだ記憶に新しい。米英主導で戦争は始まりそして終結したが、日本は
同盟国としてただ傍観していればそれで良いものではない。お互いに助け合いなが
ら国際協調してゆくのが、我が国の取るべき道であろう。日本の歴史を考えれば、
今回の自衛隊派遣の決定はやむを得ない決断だったのではないかと思う。今日イ
ラクに向けて第１陣が出発したが、イラクが一人立ちできるよう早く援助の手を差し
伸べて、日本は顔の見える国際貢献をして欲しいと思う。
“Japan dispatched the Self-Defense Force to Iraq”
 According to TV report today, the second group of the Self-Defense Force have 
been dispatched to Iraq in order to support Iraq people in their reconstruction. So 
far an Opposition party made an objection to dispatch the Self -Defense Force 
to Iraq, but the government party decided to send them compulsorily in the 
National Diet. I think this decision by the government was inevitable for Japan 
because we have to do our duty as an alliance with America and to maintain 
international cooperation. I hope Japan should help Iraq people as soon as 
possible and express their contribution in the world.  

今年の巨人はどうしたのだろうか。去年の覇者は一体何処へ行ってしまったのだろ
うか。また又ぶざまな試合を昨晩やってしまった。一人阪神だけは遥か彼方の方へ
行ってしまったが、優勝という目的を見失ったまさに糸切れた凧のようだ。巨人魂や
ジャイアンツ愛は何だったか？もう一度原点に返って昨年の優勝した頃を思い出し
て欲しい。そもそも故障者が続出するのもおかしい、キャンプでの調整は真面目に
やったのかどうか、首脳陣と選手とのコミュニケーションはうまくいっているのか、相
手を研究し自分達の非を反省したのか、とか言いたい事は山程ある。同じようなパ
ターンで負けるような事はもう二度とやって欲しくはない、もう何回もフアンは裏切ら
れてきたのだ。傷口を広げる前に直ぐに選手を交代させるとかもう少し柔軟に試合
を運べないものだろうか。一フアンとして気が気でならない。

What a cowardly Giants this year is ! Where is the strong Giants ? Last night the 
Yomiuri Giants repeated a bad game and lost game as usual on pennant race of 
Central League of professional base ball. Please remember the champion-ship last 
year and encourage yourself not to repeat the same mistake in playing game. I 
can not help advising you as one of your fan.

平成14年９月１７日（月）、小泉首相が日本の首相としては初めてとなる北朝鮮を訪
問し、その日の内に国交正常化交渉再開のための『平壌宣言』に両国首脳が署名
するに至った事は画期的なことであった。その時金正日主席が拉致を率直に認め、
更に謝罪までしたとの報道には驚かざるを得なかった。しかし、同時に示された５人
の生存と８人の死亡という拉致被害者の安否情報はショッキングなものであった。生
存者の帰国については１ヵ月後に実現し、５人の家族達は２４年ぶりに日本の地を
踏むことが出来た。しかし、滞在は１０日から２週間位との約束であったが、日本政
府は家族の意向を汲んで北朝鮮には戻さないことを決定したのである。先月第１回
正常化交渉が再開されたものの、これがネックとなって現在膠着状態となっており、
今月の開会は危ぶまれている。向こうは約束違反だと言っているらしいが、もともと
拉致して行ったのであるから日本の家族としては帰したくないのが人情であるが、こ

 It was epoch-making that on 17th of September,2002 the prime minister Koizumi 
visited North Korea and exchanged "Pyon-an declaration"between he and Mr.Kim,
the head of North Korea. However the report brought by him that 5 persons are 
alive and 8 persons died out of kidnapped persons was shocking for us because 
Japanese people were sure to be kidnapped by North Korea in those days. One 
month later the 5 alive persons were permitted to return home after 24 years 
provided that the period staying Japan is 10 days to 2 weeks. In spite Japanese 
government decided not to return them to North Korea in consideration of their 
intention. Since then the relation between Japan and North Korea has been at a 
deadlock without opening 2nd negotiation meeting for normalizing diplomatic 
relations. North Korea criticized Japan to break his promise. In this case I think 
keeping promise first might be better to resolve the problem.

力発電施設の不正報告など、枚挙にいとまがない程この種のニュースが毎日新聞
を賑わしている。これは今に始まった事ではないと思うが、何らかの内部告発があっ
たからこそ明るみ出た問題だ。これがなければ一部の企業だけが今でも不正に利
益を取得し続けてていただろうし、真面目な企業ほど馬鹿を見ていたことになる。正
直者が損をしないフェア-な社会を作るためにも、告発者を保護する内部告発制度
は必要だと思う。

In these days there are so many news concerning unlawfulness as the problems 
for Morinaga,BSE,Nuclear Power Station and so on. I suppose these problems 
were made clear by inside prosecutors. If nobody prosecutes about the 
unlawfulness,the problems would not be disclosed and a dishonest enterprise 
would be making a profit. It is unreasonable and unfair that a honest enterprise 
acts the fool. That's why inside prosecution ｓｙstem shoud be ruled by the law in 
order to protect the prosecutors.
